Karin Brennan is a US Army veteran who served as a German linguist in the Intelligence Services for three years behind the Iron Curtain during the Cold War. Having a front row seat to the tensions between NATO and the Warsaw Pact countries profoundly shaped her view of the world and helped her to gain an understanding of the worth of maintaining our democracy. Following her military service, Karin went on to earn an MBA in Marketing and have a long, successful career at IBM. In retirement, Karin commits her time and talents to causes she is passionate about, to include veterans issues and gun violence prevention. Karin lives in Southern California, is married to a USCG veteran, is stepmom to a daughter and son, and “Nana” to 3 grandchildren.
